Central London (Westminster) is a "Black Hole" where no one can watch MTV Dance, and this is wrong.

• 90% of people in Westminster live in apartments where we cannot use a Sky Digital dish to receive MTV Dance.
• MTV Dance is not available on Cable and never will be. NTL have no plans to upgrade Central London's Analogue-only cable TV system EVER. I have this in writing and will gladly supply copies of their letter on request. NTL are the sole providers of cable TV in Central London.
• Homechoice do not provide MTV Dance, and never will because they have their own channel V:MX Dance which is a poor substitute in my opinion.

Like me, do you miss the dance music which used to be on MTV UK? It's no loss to the lucky people who can have Sky Digital. They can watch MTV Dance, MTV Base, MTV 2, VH 2 and a load of other music TV channels, but all we can get in Central London is MTV UK, the Non-Music Channel, on Analogue cable.

IN CENTRAL LONDON IT IS NO LONGER POSSIBLE TO WATCH A MUSIC VIDEO ON MTV!

Like me, are you sick of not being able to get music on MTV anymore? Do you have to watch
THE HITS on Freeview instead, because it is the ONLY channel you can get that is actually showing music videos?

I think the answer is Broadband.

Many Music TV Channels around the world already rebroadcast their satellite signal on broadband at about 300 kbps. Channels like Viva Music TV from Germany, and Deejay TV from Italy. I watch these regularly now, because MTV music is no longer available.
I do not watch "MTV Live" on Broadband, because (a) they do not show music videos, and (b) I am not sure whether the link to MTV Live from www.lyngsat.com is officially free.

If you would be interested in watching MTV Dance or any of the other MTV Music Video channels on Broadband Internet, either free or for a monthly subscription then register your interest by e-mail here. I will forward your e-mails to MTV, and do my best to make them listen.

In the meantime, you can watch some of the same Music Videos as shown on MTV Dance at Ministry of Sound TV , the UK's first and so far only Dance Music TV station on the Internet (but definitely not as good as MTV Dance!)

Find out about MTV Dance.
Checkout the website www.mtv.co.uk/dance (although you will definitely NOT find a live video stream there!) If you can't receive MTV Dance, why not contact MTV UK and complain directly? Tell them you can't receive it, and repeat this over and over, as many times as necessary until they actually realise that, NO everybody CAN'T get Sky Digital, or Digital Cable!

• Call the MTV switchboard on 0207 478 6000, ask them why they've taken away your music videos, and what they are going to do about bringing them back.

P.S. If anyone at MTV Networks ever reads this, I would gladly pay a monthly subscription to MTV for the privelege of being able to watch any or all of your music video channels; MTV Dance, MTV Base, MTV 2, VH2, etc. via Subscription Broadband Internet. These channels can never be made available in Central London via Cable TV (NTL) or Satellite, and Homechoice will not provide them either, so Broadband Internet video streaming by MTV is the only solution. 300 kbps is much more practical than higher bitrates, since it works with almost all Broadband connections, while higher bitrates do not. The quality of picture and sound at 300 kbps is just fine.
